About Octopi

Famously known for the 8 pi's within it's name, the Octopi comes from the sea floor of the Pacific Ocean by the Great Barrier Reef in Australia (but is currently residing within the chilly climates of Canada). The Octopi is incredibly thankful for having 8 arms and even more suction cups on each arm; it helps with quickly counting on your finger--- I mean, tentacles. The Octopi owns a TI-89 Titanium Engineering Calculator (that the Octopi is still slightly exploring into) but it's especially annoying when the Octopi can't convert a repeating decimal into a nice and compact fraction. It's even more frustrating when the calculator sticks to the Octopi's suction cups.

As a young octopus, the Octopi was taught math and advanced ahead of the grade level at home by it's parent. Currently, it takes outside-of-school classes that stretch above and beyond, which challenges the Octopi's brain and makes it extremely helpful for school work. The Octopi has participated in numerous math contests over the years and have also won awards for some.
